Scope and General Provisions
These terms set out the basic rules for using the Sunrise English Language School (SELS) website operated by APAM合同会社 (the “Company”). The website provides information about the school, courses, programs, events and related services, together with inquiry and application channels.
Separate conditions apply to school enrollment and participation in programs or events. These terms do not replace those agreements or permission to publish photographs. Simply viewing the website does not constitute an application for paid services or acceptance of a service contract. Applicable law takes precedence over any provision that cannot lawfully be enforced.
Website Information
We aim to keep information accurate and current, but technical problems, typographical errors or delayed updates may occur. Course details, event dates and capacity, prices and availability may change. Please check the latest official information when applying.
Important contractual conditions are confirmed separately through the relevant application screens, school communications or contract documents. Updating website information does not allow the Company to change an existing contract arbitrarily.
Use of Contact Forms
Use each form category for its intended purpose and provide accurate names, contact details and application information. Do not impersonate others, use false identities, deliberately mislead us or submit another person’s information without authority. Do not include unnecessary third-party personal information or sensitive information unrelated to your request.
Do not make abusive automated submissions or interfere with other users’ access to applications. We may check application details where necessary. Sending a form does not by itself confirm a Free Trial date, enrollment or participation in a program or event; availability depends on actual acceptance and the applicable program conditions.
Commercial Solicitation and Business Inquiries
Sales representatives, advertising agencies, service providers and others proposing sales, advertising, SEO, website development, software, marketing, recruitment services, partnerships or other commercial opportunities must use the dedicated “Business / Sales Inquiry” category.
Do not deliberately solicit through “Free Trial Application,” “Seasonal School Application,” “Event Application” or other parent-facing categories. We may decline to respond to commercial messages sent through inappropriate categories, irrelevant proposals or repeated unsolicited approaches.
Do not send automated sales messages or mass form submissions, persist after refusal or circumvent anti-spam restrictions. We may apply reasonable submission or access restrictions where necessary. These rules do not obstruct legitimate privacy-rights requests or legally required communications.
Business / Sales Inquiry →Prohibited Activities
Do not engage in the following activities. Any response or restriction will reflect the conduct and its impact and remain within what is necessary and permitted by law.
- Unauthorized access, improper circumvention of authentication or security measures, or attempts to intrude into or compromise systems.
- Service disruption, denial-of-service attacks, malicious automated submissions or transmission of malware or harmful information.
- Impersonation, fraudulent registration, false applications, harassment, threats or unlawful solicitation.
- Infringement of intellectual property or privacy rights, unauthorized collection or misuse of personal data, or other unlawful activity.
Automated Data Collection and Scraping
Do not harvest contact details for solicitation, automatically extract children’s information or photographs, improperly collect information about parents or staff, build lists or databases from such information, or reuse it commercially in ways that violate law or individual or rights-holder interests. Do not improperly bypass technical access restrictions to obtain information.
Unlawful or unauthorized collection and misuse may lead to necessary and reasonable protective measures. Not all automated access is unlawful. These rules do not prevent normal, appropriate search-engine indexing or legitimate uses permitted by law.
Copyright and Intellectual Property
Rights in protected text, photographs, Blog images, school promotional materials, illustrations, graphics, original educational materials, protected website designs and videos belong to the Company or the relevant legitimate rights holders. Except where permitted by law, do not reproduce, modify, republish, redistribute, sell or otherwise commercially exploit them without authorization.
We do not claim rights belonging to others in third-party trademarks, licensed materials, other parties’ works or public-domain materials. Please observe the applicable rights and conditions of use.
Protection of Children’s Photographs and Videos
SELS appropriately publishes school-activity photographs and videos within the scope of valid guardian permission. That permission does not authorize reuse by website visitors. Respect children’s privacy and safety, copyright and other applicable rights.
Do not misuse photographs or videos, falsely identify students, use images for impersonation, redistribute them commercially without necessary authorization, use them to harass or exploit children, or unlawfully collect children’s personal data. Republication and other uses must comply with applicable law and any necessary permissions.
The Company does not own children’s identities or personal rights, and these rules do not impose a blanket prohibition on lawful uses. Please contact us below with concerns about publication or use.
Third-Party Websites and Services
The website uses Google Maps, Instagram post images and links, and links to LINE. CheckStation is used for school check-in and parent email notifications; website forms do not directly register users with CheckStation.
External services have their own terms and privacy policies. The Company does not control all third-party information or technical operations. Responsibility concerning external services is also determined under applicable law. See our Privacy Policy for related information handling.
Changes and Availability
Maintenance, technical or communications problems, disasters, emergencies and other legitimate operational reasons may require changes to website functions or temporary suspension of access. We respond reasonably, considering the need and the effect on users.
This provision concerns website availability. It does not grant an unrestricted right to cancel existing paid-service contracts. Changes to enrollment, lessons or participation remain subject to the relevant agreements and applicable law.
Responses to Misuse
Where spam, automated abuse, security attacks, repeated unwanted solicitation, fraudulent applications or unauthorized information collection threaten school operations, users’ safety or rights, or service stability, we may take necessary and reasonable protective measures.
Measures may include blocking abusive automated requests, limiting repeated submissions, declining inappropriate inquiries and reviewing access activity for security. We may consider appropriate legal remedies for unlawful conduct where necessary.
Responses must comply with law and be proportionate to the conduct and its impact. They are not intended to obstruct legitimate privacy requests, legally required communications or ordinary appropriate inquiries.
Disclaimers and Responsibility
We seek to provide accurate information and reliable services. Errors, delayed updates, communications or equipment failures, and external-service issues may nevertheless prevent access or verification of information. Please check current official information and individual agreements for important application conditions.
Whether and to what extent the Company is responsible is determined under applicable law and the circumstances. These terms do not unlawfully exclude liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or restrict rights protected by Japan’s Consumer Contract Act or other applicable law. External websites or technical problems do not provide a blanket exemption from responsibility.
Personal Information
Personal information handled through inquiries, applications and other services is governed by the separate SELS Privacy Policy. Please consult it for children’s information, publication permissions, external services and privacy-rights requests.
Viewing these terms or sending an inquiry is not treated as permission to publish a child’s photographs.
Privacy Policy →Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms for reasonable reasons such as changes to services, security needs or legal requirements. Revisions and the update date will be published on this page, with notice and other procedures required by the nature of the change and applicable law.
Posting an update alone does not permit unlimited changes to existing agreements or purposes of personal-information use. Application of changes remains subject to law and individual agreements.
Governing Law and Disputes
Japanese law governs this website and these terms to the extent legally permitted. This does not exclude users’ rights protected by mandatory law.
Please contact SELS below first if you have questions or encounter a problem. We will consider the matter and seek an appropriate resolution. This does not prevent use of legally available advice, remedies or courts. No exclusive court jurisdiction is specified.
